2. Data processing at a glance
HEPLANO Loser is a locally operating, single-device app that lets a group decide, using random or reaction-based mini-games, who goes next.
All data entered within the app (participant names, an optional stake description, and the game results) is processed exclusively locally on the device used. HEPLANO does not operate its own servers or cloud synchronization for HEPLANO Loser.
HEPLANO Loser does not require registration or a user account.
HEPLANO Loser does not use any of its own tracking or analytics services and no personalized advertising.
Data entered within the app is not transmitted to HEPLANO.
3. Internet connection and app store
HEPLANO Loser itself does not establish a connection to any servers or cloud services of its own.
An internet connection may be required to purchase or unlock a Premium version. The purchase is processed through the respective app store.
HEPLANO does not receive complete payment data such as credit card or bank account details as part of such a purchase. Payment processing is carried out by the respective app store operator.
The respective app store operator's own privacy policy applies to any processing of personal data it carries out.
4. Permissions
HEPLANO Loser does not require any special device permissions.
In particular, the app does not access the camera, microphone, location, contacts, calendar, SMS, or phone functions.
For the multi-finger detection in the "Finger" game, the app only evaluates touch points on its own screen; no separate device permission is required for this.
5. Participant names and stake
The participant names and the optional stake description you enter (e.g. "does the dishes") are processed exclusively locally on your device in order to run the games and display the result.
This information is not transmitted to HEPLANO or to third parties.
You, as the person entering the data, are responsible for entering the names of other individuals (e.g. your fellow players). Since the app is typically used together with, and with the knowledge of, the named individuals, effective consent by those involved can generally be assumed.
6. Share function
The "Share result" feature lets you send the game result via the operating system's share function to an app or person of your choice.
The choice of recipient and any processing on their end is outside the control of HEPLANO Loser and is subject to the privacy policy of the respective service chosen.
7. Local storage and security
All data entered within the app is processed locally on your device.
HEPLANO Loser does not create a persistent, cross-device copy of this data and does not create backups on its own or third-party servers.
8. Deletion
You can remove or change individual participant names and the stake description within the app at any time.
Since HEPLANO Loser does not operate its own servers for this data, deleting it within the app does not delete any additional data held by HEPLANO, because none is stored there in the first place.
Uninstalling the app removes all data processed within the app from the device.
9. Retention
HEPLANO Loser does not impose its own retention periods for the data entered. You decide yourself how long you keep or when you change names and the stake within the app.
10. Your data protection rights
To the extent HEPLANO processes personal data as controller, you have, subject to the applicable legal requirements, in particular the right to:
- access information about the processing of your personal data,
- rectification of inaccurate data,
- erasure,
- restriction of processing,
- object to certain processing,
- data portability, to the extent the legal requirements for this are met.
Because the data entered within the app is processed exclusively locally on your device and HEPLANO has no access to it, HEPLANO cannot handle data-subject requests relating to that data on the user's behalf.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
11. No analytics or advertising services
HEPLANO Loser does not use any of its own analytics or tracking services.
The app contains no personalized advertising.
HEPLANO does not create usage profiles for advertising or analytics purposes.
12. Third parties
HEPLANO Loser does not transmit the data entered within the app to HEPLANO servers or any other cloud services operated by HEPLANO.
Processing of personal data by third parties may occur in particular in connection with the respective app store through which the app is obtained or a Premium feature is purchased, and in connection with a recipient you yourself select via the share function (see section 6).
The privacy policies of the respective providers or recipients apply to such data processing.
13. Minors
HEPLANO Loser is not specifically designed for children.
HEPLANO does not knowingly collect personal data from children for its own purposes.
14. International use
HEPLANO Loser can generally also be used outside Germany, including in Switzerland. For users in Switzerland, the revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP/DSG) applies in addition to the principles described here; the statements above apply there accordingly.
